Made available in print by an American media company Advance Publications, this monthly digest concerns itself on golf topics in general flavor. My wife and I just returned from a western Caribbean cruise. We landed in three ports. Following are details of our trip including information about the ship and the ports.

Getting There
We traveled Vancouver Toronto-Miami via Air Canada. This part of the trip was uneventful and went smoothly. The only potential glitch was a US immigration officer that seemed to want to pick a fight. When we didn t respond to his taunts and innuendos he stopped his attempts to engage us and grunted us on.

The Deere Company, more familiarly known as John Deere, is one of the largest and most successful manufacturers of farming equipment in the world. The color scheme of green and yellow immediately identifies a John Deere tractor, even if its trademark design of a leaping deer were not just as identifiable.

In 1837, John Deere was a blacksmith in Grand Detour, Illinois. The farmers in the area were having a great deal of difficulty in tilling the tough, prairie soil - much of it sticky clay - with their cast iron plows. Something better was needed. Deere perfected the self-scouring steel plow (constructed from highly polished steel and with a a correctly shaped moldboard). So successful was this new

plow that Deere was able to go into partnership with another businessman in 1843 to speed up production. By 1848 he’d moved his company to the transportation hub that was Moline, Illinois (located on the banks of the Mississippi River) and had produced 10,000 plows.

Satellite radio becomes more and more popular. It is a choice of millions and the army of listeners is still growing. Three provider companies offer this service: XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio broadcast throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico and they are the major players on the market. The third one, WorldSpace, broadcasts to the rest part of the world (Europe, Asia and Africa). Each of the providers offers more than a hundred of entertainment and music channels, talk shows, sports games and many more. It also includes adult-oriented broadcasting, since FCC (Federal Communications Commission) does not regulate the industry. So, there’s something for everyone.

Prince Edward Island is the smallest province in Canada, yet this tiny gem, a perfect jewel of nature boasts some of the largest and best fishing opportunities for a summer vacation and most are pulled from the sapphire blue waters that surround it.
